Key Responsibilities- Primary Legal Liaison: Serve as the main contact for all legal matters pertaining to the iA Auto sector.
- Team Leadership: Guide a team of legal professionals to deliver timely and business-oriented legal services.
- Strategic Oversight: Lead and support complex legal initiatives that align with the sector's business goals.
- Problem Solving: Address unique and intricate legal challenges that significantly impact the organization.
- Management Collaboration: Work closely with senior management on critical legal issues.
- Industry Engagement: Actively participate in industry committees to represent the company's interests and foster relationships with key market players.
- Regulatory Support: Collaborate with the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer to provide legal guidance on regulatory matters.
- Strategic Analysis: Offer insights and solutions regarding legal and regulatory developments affecting the business.
- Team Development: Support and mentor team members in their professional growth and legal responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of business operations and the ability to simplify complex legal concepts.
- Proven leadership skills with a focus on achieving ambitious objectives.
- Excellent collaboration and networking abilities.
- Experience in developing high-performing teams and fostering a positive work environment.
- Juris Doctor degree and membership in good standing with a provincial law society/bar in Canada.
- At least 7 years of relevant legal experience.
- Familiarity with the insurance sector is advantageous.
- Fluency in both French and English, with strong communication skills.
