About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team at 848357 Ontario Inc. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve meals to residents in accordance with their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Maintain open communication with the Food Service Manager, Food Service Supervisor, and other team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Quality Control and Safety: Ensure that all food preparation and service areas are clean and sanitized, and that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of food preparation, service, and quality control, and report any issues or concerns to the Food Service Manager or Food Service Supervisor.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in food service and customer service.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Completion of a Food Service Worker program at a College of Applied Arts and Technology or a Food Services Worker program provided by a private career college, or equivalent experience and training.
  • Food Handler Certification: Possession of a valid Food Handler Certification from a recognized agency.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in institutional food service, preferably in a long-term care setting.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
