Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Remediation Specialist to join our team at ServiceMaster Restore. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for leading and working on job sites affected by flooding, fires, mold, and sewer back-ups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with our emergency response team to attend losses such as flooding, sewer back-ups, fires, and wind damage.
  • Confirm the scope of work with our Project Manager and/or Mitigation Manager.
  • Obtain signatures from homeowners or authorized representatives on work authorization forms.
  • Manage all questions from homeowners or business owners in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
  • Ensure safety at each work site, documenting safety concerns and complying with Occupational Health and Safety Codes and company policies.
  • Photograph and video document work sites before, during, and after emergency work, especially pre-existing damage.
  • Document water readings (daily psychometric readings) at every loss.
  • Submit accurate time sheets to payroll, reviewing and ensuring precision before submission.
  • Complete all necessary forms, including work authorization, daily psychometric readings, equipment activity reports, and job hazard assessments, at the completion of each emergency.
  • Provide the Mitigation Manager with up-to-date reports on job status at the end of each work day and remain in contact to inform the Project Manager of any changes or concerns.
  • Conduct vehicle maintenance inspections, cleaning and maintaining vehicles both inside and out.
  • Understand and implement standard protocols for water remediation, mold, asbestos, and contents handling depending on the type of loss.
Requirements
  • Valid G driver's license required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of direct working experience in disaster restoration linked to fire, water loss, or related.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Proficient working and applied knowledge of demolition procedures and tear-outs of affected areas in residential and commercial buildings of various sizes.
  • Ability to remain calm in times of stress or chaotic situations.
  • Knowledge and working ability to properly use equipment in an appropriate manner, such as dehumidifiers, truck mount, air scrubbers, etc.
  • IICRC certifications are considered an asset.
