About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at Kamal Landscaping & Gardening Ltd. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our landscaping services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, Supervise and Schedule Staff: Lead and manage a team of landscaping professionals, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive grounds maintenance plans, including lawn care, tree service, and garden centre management.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Conduct site assessments to determine labour and material requirements, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Plan, Manage and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Oversee the construction of landscapes, including design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Accurately record and maintain records of work completed, including hours worked, materials used, and any issues encountered.
  • Tender and Administer Contracts: Develop and manage contracts with clients, ensuring all terms and conditions are met.
  • Read Blueprints and Drawings: Interpret and understand blueprints and drawings to ensure accurate implementation of landscaping plans.
Requirements
  • 3-4 Years of Experience: Proven experience in landscaping supervision, with a strong understanding of grounds maintenance principles.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Proficient in the use of backhoe, front end loader, pick-up truck, small engine equipment, sod cutter, tractor, and tractor mower.
  • Area of Specialization: Interior landscaping, lawn care, tree service, grounds maintenance, design, landscape construction, and garden centre management.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, initiative, judgement, and team player skills.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
