Job Title: Landscaping Supervisor

Kenny Landscaping & Lawncare ltd. is seeking a skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and construction of outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of grounds maintenance professionals, ensuring efficient scheduling and effective supervision.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans to ensure the health and appearance of our outdoor spaces.
  • Organize and Direct Construction Projects: Oversee the construction of decks, decorative walls, and other landscape features, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Accurately record and maintain records of work completed, including materials used and equipment maintenance.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
  • Requisition and Order Materials: Procure necessary materials and supplies to support ongoing projects and maintenance activities.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physical Capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Initiative, team player, flexibility.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Immediate Settlement Needs: Assist with housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
  • Social and Labour Market Integration: Facilitate access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Recruitment: Recruit newcomers and refugees displaced by conflict or natural disaster.
  • Credential Recognition: Support foreign credential recognition.
  • Mentorship: Offer mentorship programs pairing newcomers with experienced employees.
Support for Youths:
  • On-the-Job Training: Provide tailored training for youth.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth.
  • Awareness Training: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
Support for Veterans:
  • Targeted Hiring Initiatives: Recruit Veterans and other candidates with military experience through targeted hiring initiatives.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Cultural Competency Training: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees.
Support for Mature Workers:
  • Awareness Training: Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
