Job Summary

The Intake Coordinator plays a critical role in the administration of employee absences, ensuring timely and accurate processing of sick leaves, including Short Term Disability (STD) claims, Long Term Disability (LTD) applications, and occupational claims. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills to provide support to employees and stakeholders, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to organizational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and manage employee absences, including STD and LTD claims, occupational claims, and HOOPP free accrual applications
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation and reporting to support employee absences
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including HR Shared Services, Labour Relations, and other departments as required
  • Communicate with employees, managers, and external insurance companies to ensure accurate and timely administration of employee absences
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to organizational policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Community College diploma in Disability Management or Human Resources Management
  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a large unionized multi-site environment
  • Strong understanding of the Employment Standards Act and Collective Agreement language
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
Working Conditions

This is a temporary position until November 2025, working Monday to Friday, days. Proficiency in both Official Languages, French and English, is considered an asset.
