Experienced Transit Project Coordinator Wanted

Gannett Fleming Canada is seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the position of Transit Project Coordinator in our Toronto, ON office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the management of transportation projects for our clients in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
- Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage project milestones, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.
- Integrate and coordinate with various disciplines to complete project tasks, fostering effective collaboration and communication.
- Liaise with extensive teams of consultants and contractors, building strong relationships and ensuring seamless project execution.
- Develop and maintain logs, registers, and other tracking systems to monitor project progress.
- Liaise with document control and assist disciplines with document submissions, including quality checks and process adherence.
- Coordinate meetings, presentations, agendas, and minutes, ensuring efficient communication and project progress.
- Work from a project office in north Toronto, with the possibility of practical construction experience in Transit Stations being an asset.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience working as a Transit Project Coordinator or Junior Transit Project Manager on transit design projects or projects with large, multidisciplinary teams.
- A University Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
- Previous experience with interpreting and developing project scheduling, plans, managing budget and risks, including document and quality control.
- Architecture-related practical experience, particularly in station and Transit Oriented Communities work, as well as Underground aspects.
Candidates with the following skills will be given preference:
- Previous experience with Primavera or similar project scheduling software.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft applications, such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in Acrobat or Bluebeam for document mark-ups and comments.
- Proficiency with FTP, Project Wise, SharePoint, ISO, and MS Office.
- PM+ experience is an asset.
- Moderate experience in Revit, Microstation, and AutoCAD to navigate and identify file content.
- Strong written, organizational, and verbal communication skills.
- A holistic understanding of the project delivery process and the ability to think quickly to resolve problems in real-time.
