About the Role:

Gannett Fleming Canada is seeking an experienced professional to fill the position of Transit Project Coordinator in our Toronto, ON office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the management of transportation projects for our clients in the GTA, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage project milestones, ensuring timely completion and quality control.
  • Integrate and coordinate with various disciplines to complete project tasks.
  • Liaise with extensive teams of consultants and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and maintain logs, registers, and other tracking tools to monitor project progress.
  • Liaise with document control and assist disciplines with document submissions, including quality checks.
  • Coordinate meetings, presentations, agendas, and minutes to ensure effective communication.
  • Work from a project office in north Toronto, with the possibility of practical construction experience in Transit Stations.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience working as a Transit Project Coordinator or Junior Transit Project Manager on transit design projects or projects with large, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Minimum University Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
  • Previous experience with interpreting and developing project scheduling, plans, managing budget and risks, including document and quality control.
  • Practical experience with architecture, including station and Transit Oriented Communities work, and underground aspects.
Preferred Skills:
  • Previous experience with Primavera or similar project scheduling software.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft applications, such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in Acrobat or Bluebeam for document mark-ups and comments.
  • Proficiency with FTP, Project Wise, SharePoint, ISO, and MS Office.
  • Moderate experience in Revit, Microstation, and AutoCAD to navigate and identify file content.
  • Strong written, organizational, and verbal communication skills.
  • A holistic understanding of the project delivery process and the ability to think quickly to resolve problems in real-time.
