About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment, performing imaging procedures, and providing exceptional patient care.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in magnetic resonance imaging technology, with a graduate degree from an accredited program. You should also possess certification from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and licensure from the Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP). Previous experience in MRI is an asset, and you should be proficient in I.V. insertion and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to perform imaging procedures
  • Provide exceptional patient care and ensure patient safety
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Stay up-to-date with new equipment and procedures, and maintain a high level of technical competence
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
