Promotional Spend Analyst (6-month Contract)

The Promotional Spend Analyst will collaborate with the Trade Finance and Sales departments to effectively monitor and report on promotional expenditure and discrepancies within our existing legacy systems. This role will assist the Pricing and Trade Spend Manager with end-of-month closing processes, reporting, and engaging with sales teams on promotional initiatives.

Contract Duration: 6-months, Full-Time, Monday to Friday, Daytime

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (onsite 2 or 3 days per week)

Reporting To: Pricing & Trade Spend Manager

Compensation: To Be Determined

Incentives: Yes

Location: Mississauga, ON

Travel Requirements: Occasionally

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Input and upload promotional details into our legacy systems, ensuring accuracy of the information.
  • Proactively address and resolve program coding challenges with the Trade Finance and Sales Teams.
  • Generate and distribute trade reports focusing on key metrics. Develop new reports to emphasize additional relevant areas.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on trade program contracts.
  • Align trade accruals with promotional spending for significant annual campaigns.
  • Assist in the testing and rollout of our new Trade System.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an office setting, preferably within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG).
  • Excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, and sound judgment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • A strong collaborator and team player.
  • Adaptable and flexible in a dynamic work environment.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision while also knowing when to seek guidance.
  • Proficient in current computer technologies, particularly MS Office Suite and MS Excel.
  • Experience with Power BI, SAP, and Cognos is a plus.
