Pharmacy Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Operations Manager to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a key member of our pharmacy operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our pharmacy department, ensuring that our patients receive exceptional care and service.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage a team of pharmacy staff, providing guidance and direction to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
- Responsible for the financial and operational success of the pharmacy department, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Ensure that all medications and over-the-counter supplements are dispensed accurately and timely to patients.
- Counsel patients on new and additional medications, providing friendly, positive, and proactive interaction.
- Create awareness and educate customers through public relations initiatives, such as public health days and clinics.
- Provide timely and positive resolution to patient needs and doctor's requests/issues.
- Obtain and review budgeted sales and net contribution.
- Identify and report sales opportunities both internally and externally.
- Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy (dispensary).
- Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacists license is a must.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a retail environment.
- Strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Strong people management skills and the ability to motivate and coach others.
- Excellent customer service skills and a strong sense of professionalism.
- Proven ability to build the business using community-based marketing strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the experience formulating and executing action plans.
- Strong personal computing skills, as well as knowledge of Healthwatch Pharmacy systems is a definite asset.
