Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Technician to join our Automation team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Delta V and/or Allen Bradley Controls Systems, as well as a strong understanding of SCADA, PLC, and HMI hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, upgrade, migrate, and install SCADA, PLC, and HMI hardware for projects related to general maintenance or new construction facilities.
  • Apply PLC logic and related automation networks.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance support for clients and hands-on development for construction-based projects.
  • Prepare devices and I/O lists, as well as construction support and commissioning assistance.

Requirements:

  • Journeyman Instrument Mechanic/Electrician with extensive Automation experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience with Delta V and/or Allen Bradley Controls Systems.
  • Post-Secondary Diploma in Instrument Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Automated System Engineering Technology, or a Degree in Electrical Engineering (EIT or P.Eng).
  • Valid Driver's license.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, building positive and strong relationships with staff and clients.
  • Ability to mentor junior colleagues.
  • Familiarity with IT SCADA architectural standards.
  • Highly proficient in Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows Server 8.
  • Demonstrated organizational and documentation skills.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • An analytical thinker with a logical thought process.
