Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Human Resources Strategist to join our Talent (Human Resources) team at WildBrain. As a key member of our HR leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's HR strategy and driving business results through effective talent management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with client groups to develop and implement people strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Engage in leadership coaching and employee relations to foster collaborative and efficient teams.
  • Manage the performance management process, including design, improvement, planning, communication, and education.
  • Conduct quarterly audits to ensure client group needs are met.
  • Lead and support projects across the Talent Management team.
  • Champion WildBrain's corporate values and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives.
  • Work with the Talent Operations team to ensure accurate talent changes are recorded and transferred to payroll teams.
  • Identify learning and training opportunities for teams and employees.
  • Play a key role in major team and company initiatives and projects.
  • Conduct external research to stay current on trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • A solid track record of progressively senior roles within Human Resources.
  • A strong organizational development background with a passion for building positive workplace cultures that center around employee engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian and US legislation. Previous experience supporting global teams is considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with various leadership teams in various countries.
  • Exceptional judgment with the ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to embrace what's working and recognize when processes should be challenged.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt approach based on the varying regional needs of the clients.
  • Prior success developing and implementing HR programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly and support change management.
