Role Overview:
The Ready Mix Driver plays a crucial role in the daily delivery of Ready Mix Concrete to various job sites, including residential and commercial clients. This position emphasizes building strong customer relationships and delivering exceptional service with a friendly demeanor, ensuring clients receive top-quality products and service from Lafarge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with all safety and environmental regulations set by Lafarge.
- Conduct daily pre and post-trip inspections to maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality.
- Foster and maintain trust-based relationships with customers in the designated area, ensuring their satisfaction.
- Deliver consistent and reliable service, creating a positive and seamless experience for Lafarge's clients.
- Navigate effectively within the designated delivery areas to ensure timely deliveries.
- Collaborate with Logistics and Operations teams, as well as fellow drivers, to ensure smooth operations.
- Be adaptable with scheduling, including the possibility of working various shifts and weekends.
- Understand and adhere to traffic regulations while operating commercial vehicles courteously.
- Utilize electronic devices such as tablets and GPS for operational tasks.
- Be open to learning and adapting quickly to new processes.
- Participate in the Lafarge Ready Mix Training Program.
- Be capable of lifting over 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with the building materials industry, including product knowledge, is advantageous.
- A valid Class 3Q (Air Brakes) or Class 1Q driver's license is required.
