Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Gill Concrete Pumping Ltd. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our concrete surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Fills hollows and removes spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Operates power vibrators to compact concrete and level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.
  • Imparts desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Installs anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures to ensure a secure and durable finish.
  • Applies hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and protect them from the elements.
  • Waterproofs, damp proofs, and restores surfaces to ensure they remain in excellent condition.
  • Repairs, resurfaces, and replaces worn or damaged sections of concrete structures to maintain our high standards.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Works in a fast-paced environment with heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
Personal Suitability
  • Client focus and team player with excellent communication skills.
Experience and Education
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in concrete finishing.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
