Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Primary Care Assistant to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Primary Care Assistant, you will provide administrative and operational support to our healthcare team, ensuring the smooth delivery of primary care services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to healthcare providers and teams, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and preparing medical reports.
  • Assist with operational tasks, such as maintaining clinic supplies, ordering equipment, and coordinating logistics.
  • Support the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with Northern Health policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care, responding to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an Office Assistant Course from an accredited Community College plus two years recent, related experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
