Act as a proactive safety advocate, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations. Develop and promote the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Management System and associated policies at various locations. Provide guidance on environmental technology initiatives throughout the project lifecycle and enhance selected solutions. Strategize and oversee all facets of advanced water treatment research essential for progressing assigned projects, utilizing necessary resources. Offer technical expertise as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to multiple sites and project teams; facilitate regulatory compliance and support internal governance. Collaborate with external networks to innovate environmental solutions. Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the environmental technology project portfolio.Qualifications
A degree in Chemical, Process, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline is required. A Master's or PhD in any of these fields is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. 5-7 years of experience in water treatment and its practical applications within an industrial setting. Must be a Registered Professional Engineer with EGBC, or eligible for registration. Proficient in statistical experimental design and capable of conducting experiments to assess and improve water chemistry, biogeochemical, and/or bioprocess models. Proven ability to effectively lead projects and manage logistics involving both internal and external partners, including modeling teams, process engineers, consultants, and academic institutions.Why Choose Teck?
