As a key member of our Engineering Department, you will provide Electrical Engineering and Design support, with opportunities to lead project engineering and electrical discipline leadership on industrial, power & mining projects.

This role requires collaboration with our engineering team and companywide environmental specialists to develop innovative solutions for Carbon Management & reduction initiatives and provide energy services to reduce emissions and protect our environment.

Our Trail office is a hub for over 50 engineers, designers, and support personnel, offering a collaborative and dynamic work environment. Trail is an affordable, family-oriented community with excellent education and health care facilities, as well as access to world-class outdoor adventures.

As a Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of industrial projects related to mining, mineral development, and processing, as well as hydroelectric generation. Our teams are committed to developing flexible working arrangements that balance client, team, and individual needs through our Hybrid working model.

Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: CDN: 116,000 per year

Final salary will be based on relevant and applicable experience, education, and the specific skill set and qualifications required for the role.

Qualifications
  1. #LI-Hybrid #LI-DC4 designation with EGBC Electrical Engineering Degree from a recognized university
  2. 7+ years of relevant engineering experience on heavy industrial projects through various stages of the project life cycle
  3. Experience leading diverse teams
  4. Relevant site maintenance or operations experience is an asset
  5. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume, and deadline-driven environment
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  7. Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills
  8. Positive attitude and ability to effectively work in a team atmosphere is imperative
  9. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  10. Committed to continual improvement and achieving engineering excellence
  11. Experience with ETAP or similar software design tools are considered an asset
  12. Demonstration of specific experience with aspects of Project Engineering and/or Project Management roles including ownership of overall project scope, schedule, and budget management would be considered an asset
  13. Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
  14. This position is hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the Trail office
