Network Support Specialist

Position Summary:As a Network Support Specialist, your primary role will involve overseeing and providing initial assistance on our network connectivity framework.
The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of experience in networking, exceptional troubleshooting abilities, and a proactive approach to ensure uninterrupted service and swift recovery during outages.
Key Responsibilities:
# Vigilantly monitor all components of connectivity infrastructure, including Palo Alto Prisma, Equinix virtual machines, and other critical areas across various data centers.
# Respond promptly to incidents reported by business teams and provide active support to clients.
# Facilitate the management of incidents by coordinating technical discussions and involving additional specialists and partner technical support.
# Execute technical troubleshooting for network issues and apply workarounds or solutions in designated areas of administration, such as Palo Alto Prisma, Equinix Virtual network infrastructure, and Palo Alto Panorama and Firewalls.
# Transition incident coordination back to business teams once the root cause is identified as outside the connectivity framework.
# Ensure a smooth handover of incident management and oversee the onboarding of managed services partner personnel.
# Diligently manage and resolve all tickets, maintaining precise reporting of SLAs and SLOs.
# Oversee the implementation of fixes, update documentation, and prepare post-incident analyses.
# Actively engage in team discussions, ensuring thorough communication of all developments to colleagues.
Minimum Qualifications:
# Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
# A minimum of 3 years of experience in the Networking field.
# At least 2 years in a role providing first or second-line technical support or incident management.
# Strong verbal and written communication skills.
# Self-driven and independent with a proactive mindset.
# General understanding of AWS and Azure cloud networking technologies.
# Profound expertise in Palo Alto technologies.
# Excellent troubleshooting capabilities in LAN, Firewall layer 4, and cloud networking.
# Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and agile methodologies.
# Cloud networking certification is advantageous.
# Palo Alto certification is a plus.
