Job Title: Application Specialist - Cogito/Business Intelligence (BI) Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Specialist - Cogito/Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our team at Hamilton Health Sciences. As a key member of our Epic Project Team, you will be responsible for programming and implementing new BI solutions, reports, and data warehouse models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new BI solutions, reports, and data warehouse models
  • Debug, monitor, and troubleshoot BI solutions
  • Create and deploy reports
  • Write relational and multidimensional database queries
  • Create, deploy, and maintain SQL jobs

Requirements:

  • University degree or college diploma in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business intelligence and data warehousing application development
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including Reporting Services, Analysis Services, and Integration Services
  • Working knowledge of Visual Studio 2010/2012 (C# or VB.NET), ASP.NET
  • Advanced knowledge of relational databases and multidimensional databases
  • Good understanding of system environment of Windows Server 2003 and IIS, SAN, personal computers, and web applications
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Motivation and commitment to self-improvement and learning
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and commitment to quality customer service
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and take action on it, logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to meet, prioritize, and manage multiple simultaneous tasks and deadlines
  • Demonstrated high level of initiative and self-directive and ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
