Daily Activities Include:

Providing leadership and supporting the professional growth of team members through technical guidance, training suggestions, coaching, and mentorship. Overseeing and collaborating on projects for various clients, including governmental, institutional, and industrial sectors, with an emphasis on environmental infrastructure such as water and wastewater facilities, as well as commercial and residential developments across Canada. Aiding in the cultivation of client relationships and driving business expansion. Offering design insights, technical guidance, and instruction to colleagues. Conducting field assessments, condition evaluations, asset management reviews, space requirement analyses, preliminary and detailed design work, preparation of contract documents, and contract oversight for a diverse range of projects. Leading business development initiatives, including proposal writing and presentations. Enhancing Dillon's corporate visibility through active involvement in professional organizations and committees, as well as participating in and presenting at industry conferences. Traveling to various business locations and Dillon offices as needed.

Required Qualifications

Essential Skills for Success:

A degree in Architecture. Must possess a valid license to practice as an Architect or be eligible for licensure within six months. A strong commitment to design excellence, team collaboration, and client satisfaction. A critical thinker with a passion for analyzing challenges, researching best practices, considering diverse perspectives, and crafting innovative solutions. Ability to mentor and coach team members effectively. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as proficiency in graphic representation.

Professional Experience

At least 10 years of relevant experience in consulting. Proven track record of successful collaboration with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects. Experience with low embodied carbon initiatives is highly desirable. Understanding of sustainable building design principles is a significant advantage. Experience in crafting proposals is highly valued.
