Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Organization: Oversee and coordinate topical Section meetings and activities throughout the program year, ensuring smooth execution and effective communication.
- Representation and Advocacy: Attend Council meetings and the Annual General Meeting, preparing and presenting Section Reports or other material as requested, and serving as the Nova Scotia representative on the National Section's Executive.
- Communication and Liaison: Stay informed about changes (legislative, judicial, etc.) that may impact the practice area and maintain regular communication with CBA-NS staff and Committee Chairs to propose advocacy work, member communications, or other initiatives.
- Collaboration and Support: Attend any orientation or other meetings arranged by the Executive Committee, Section Committee, and/or the Section Activity Coordinator when invited, and be available to take on additional responsibilities as requested by the Executive Committee, Section Committee, and/or the Section Activity Coordinator throughout the program year.
