Position Overview

As a Game Production Leader at Ubisoft Montréal, you will orchestrate and oversee the comprehensive development of a video game. Your role will be pivotal in establishing a successful production framework and guiding the project from initial concept to final delivery, ensuring meticulous tracking and adjustments throughout the process.

With a deep understanding of the user experience we aim to create and the complexities involved in its production, you will devise the most effective strategies to align our aspirations with our capabilities.

Your responsibility includes propelling the production team through various phases, proactively identifying potential challenges that could threaten the project's integrity, and making necessary adaptations.

Additionally, you will cultivate an environment that encourages collaboration, allowing team members to merge their unique skills and expertise, ultimately bringing their collective vision to a broader audience.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate closely with the producer and creative director to evaluate the overall game vision and project specifications.
  2. Outline the entire project scope: develop a high-level roadmap and timeline, identify key deliverables and milestones, and establish development strategies and budgets.
  3. Construct the project's organizational framework to maximize team talents.
  4. Foresee and recognize risks and challenges, implementing strategies to mitigate them.
  5. Establish communication pathways to enhance collaboration and interaction among team members, co-development studios, and both internal and external partners.
  6. Track progress and coordinate with associate producers and production managers to ensure the project remains on schedule.
  7. Evaluate what is effective and what is not, seeking opportunities for process enhancement, methodologies, and practices.
  8. Create and sustain a supportive work atmosphere and nurture the growth of the production team.
Qualifications

What You Bring

  1. A minimum of 7 years of experience in production management within the video game sector (or related fields).
  2. Comprehensive knowledge of development workflows and interdependencies, along with familiarity with various project management methodologies.
  3. A degree in Project Management or Business Administration (or equivalent training).
  4. An innovative mindset that inspires you to explore and implement new approaches.
  5. The capability to influence change, foresee obstacles, and devise creative solutions to overcome them.
  6. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  7. A keen awareness of the impact your decisions have on creators.
  8. A high degree of adaptability to respond to the dynamic nature of production challenges.
