Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Selection
  1. Conduct all aspects of recruitment, including behavioral interviews, reference checks, and test coordination.
  2. Collaborate with managers and supervisors to schedule interviews and practical assessments.
  3. Ensure timely processing of all applications received via various channels.
  4. Verify that candidates possess all necessary documentation for employment eligibility.
2. Data Management
  1. Maintain accurate and timely updates of:
  2. Personnel files, WCB records, and disciplinary documentation.
  3. Input all Master File data into the HR system.
  4. Keep current certificates of clearance for Operators.
3. Health and Safety Oversight
  1. Lead and oversee the Safety Committee for the designated terminal.
  2. Appoint and guide committee members.
  3. Manage all WSIB claims.
  4. Oversee the Health and Safety Program.
4. Human Resources Duties
  1. Track key recruitment metrics, including turnover and retention statistics.
  2. Address all HR-related inquiries from management and staff.
  3. Provide training and guidance to managers on recruitment, selection, and interview evaluation.
  4. Assist in crafting recruitment campaigns.
  5. Discuss employment terms and benefits with employees.
  6. Evaluate employee performance using appraisal systems and recommend improvements as needed.
  7. Conduct market benchmarking for enhanced understanding.
  8. Update HR policies in accordance with current legislation and communicate changes to senior management.
  9. Manage disciplinary processes.
5. Inter-terminal Coordination
  1. Ensure uniformity across terminals by adhering to established procedures and maintaining regular communication.
6. Additional Responsibilities
  1. Organize and participate in corporate events to promote the company and its benefits.
  2. Engage in HR and Operations meetings to foster a respectful and productive workplace.
  3. Support employer branding initiatives.
  4. Help design and implement company policies.
  5. Act as a liaison for hiring managers, employees, and HR team members.
  6. Propose innovative HR technology solutions to enhance daily operations.
  7. Collect and report feedback from employee interviews.
