Key Responsibilities:1. Recruitment and Selection
- Conduct all aspects of recruitment, including behavioral interviews, reference checks, and test coordination.
- Collaborate with managers and supervisors to schedule interviews and practical assessments.
- Ensure timely processing of all applications received via various channels.
- Verify that candidates possess all necessary documentation for employment eligibility.
- Maintain accurate and timely updates of:
- Personnel files, WCB records, and disciplinary documentation.
- Input all Master File data into the HR system.
- Keep current certificates of clearance for Operators.
- Lead and oversee the Safety Committee for the designated terminal.
- Appoint and guide committee members.
- Manage all WSIB claims.
- Oversee the Health and Safety Program.
- Track key recruitment metrics, including turnover and retention statistics.
- Address all HR-related inquiries from management and staff.
- Provide training and guidance to managers on recruitment, selection, and interview evaluation.
- Assist in crafting recruitment campaigns.
- Discuss employment terms and benefits with employees.
- Evaluate employee performance using appraisal systems and recommend improvements as needed.
- Conduct market benchmarking for enhanced understanding.
- Update HR policies in accordance with current legislation and communicate changes to senior management.
- Manage disciplinary processes.
- Ensure uniformity across terminals by adhering to established procedures and maintaining regular communication.
- Organize and participate in corporate events to promote the company and its benefits.
- Engage in HR and Operations meetings to foster a respectful and productive workplace.
- Support employer branding initiatives.
- Help design and implement company policies.
- Act as a liaison for hiring managers, employees, and HR team members.
- Propose innovative HR technology solutions to enhance daily operations.
- Collect and report feedback from employee interviews.
- Experience or education in Human Resources.
- Strong communication skills.
