Physiotherapist - Medical/Surgical/Cancer Care Specialist

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team in a tertiary care setting. As a member of our clinical team, you will collaborate with colleagues to determine team goals and objectives, participate in the evaluation of team effectiveness, and share responsibilities.
You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients who present with actual or potential impairments, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities. You will also educate and communicate with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers regarding health promotion, physiotherapy treatment, and pain management.
The successful candidate may be required to provide services throughout the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio. Physiotherapists work on weekends in many areas of the hospital.
About YouWe are looking for a highly qualified Physiotherapist with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy from an accredited university
- Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists (provincial licensing body)
- Computer skills (statistics input, word processing, and Microsoft Outlook)
- Annual Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System training and certification (WHMIS)
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours- Long assignment, full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
- Approximately a 12-month assignment
- This position works shifts over a 6-day per week schedule, including weekends and holidays
$42.89 hourly
