Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk IV to join our team at PHSA. As an Accounts Payable Clerk IV, you will be responsible for preparing invoices for payment, reviewing vendor invoices and purchase orders for accuracy, and ensuring that all payments are made in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Invoice Preparation: Prepare invoices for payment, including reviewing vendor invoices and purchase orders for accuracy and ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete.
  • Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships, including following up on outstanding invoices and credits, and ensuring that all vendor accounts are up-to-date.
  • Payment Processing: Process payments in a timely and efficient manner, including preparing and sending cheques, electronic funds transfers, and wire transfers.
  • Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve disputes with vendors, including reviewing and responding to vendor inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all payments, including invoices, receipts, and payment records.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all payments are made in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Grade 12, successful completion of a recognized accounting course, and two years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Skills: Ability to keyboard 45 wpm, ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, ability to deal with others effectively, physical ability to carry out the duties of the position, ability to supervise, ability to organize work, and ability to operate related equipment.
