About the Role: Lead Health Equity Analyst

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Health Equity Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in advancing health equity within the Canadian cancer care landscape. You will leverage your expertise in data analysis, research, and policy to identify disparities, develop evidence-based recommendations, and contribute to impactful initiatives that promote equitable access to cancer care for all Canadians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of Canadian health data, focusing on cancer outcomes and disparities across diverse populations.
  • Develop and implement research projects to investigate the social determinants of health and their impact on cancer incidence, prevalence, and mortality.
  • Synthesize findings from research and data analysis into clear, concise reports and presentations for various stakeholders, including policymakers, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and implement strategies that address health inequities in cancer care.
  • Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in health equity research and policy.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Policy & Equity, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Canadian health data, including cancer-related datasets.
  • Proven expertise in conducting quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
  • Strong research and writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience working with First Nations, Inuit, and/or Métis communities and data is an asset.
