About the Role:
The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Academic Leader to fill the position of Professor of Psychiatry with a focus on Geriatric Care. This is a unique opportunity to join a world-renowned research centre and teaching hospital, and to contribute to the advancement of late-life mental health care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic leadership and expertise in the field of geriatric psychiatry, with a focus on late-life mental health
- Develop and implement research collaborations and initiatives in the field of late-life mental health
- Recruit and develop the next generation of clinicians, teachers, and researchers in geriatric psychiatry
- Lead the Geriatric Psychiatry Division and contribute to the growth of CAMH's education mandate in late-life mental health
- Represent CAMH at local, provincial, and national tables on matters related to late-life mental health and neurocognitive disorders
Requirements:
- Medical Degree and certification in Geriatric Psychiatry by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
- Exceptional leadership skills and an extensive academic record in the field of late-life disorders
- Experience working in complex organizations and a proven track record of leadership and collaboration
