Purchasing Manager

JBTL Enterprises Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate Purchasing Activities: Oversee the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
- Plan and Control Budget: Develop and manage budgets, controlling expenditures and optimizing resource allocation.
- Lead Procurement Team: Hire, train, direct, and motivate staff to achieve procurement goals.
- Develop Procurement Policies: Create and implement purchasing policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Evaluate Suppliers: Assess the cost and quality of goods or services, authorizing the development of specifications as needed.
- Manage Contracts: Oversee the negotiation, execution, and administration of contracts with suppliers.
- Review and Process Claims: Analyze and resolve claims against suppliers, ensuring prompt and fair resolution.
- Oversee Data Analysis: Lead the analysis of data and information to inform procurement decisions.
- Prepare Reports: Develop and present reports to senior management, highlighting key procurement metrics and trends.
- Advise Senior Management: Provide strategic guidance on procurement matters, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in purchasing or a related field.
- Skills: Excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgment, and organizational skills.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring attention to detail and a large workload.
- Work Term: Permanent position with 40 hours per week.
- Work Language: English.
