Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, kitchen helpers, and working groups.
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation.
- Prepare budget and cost estimates.
- Address customer complaints or concerns.
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Prepare and submit reports.
- Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen management role.
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and walk.
The kitchen environment can be noisy, hot, and odorous. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Work Setting:This is a permanent position in a restaurant setting, working 35 to 40 hours per week.
Language:The primary language of work is English.
