About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Dietitian to join our Primary Health Care team. As a member of our team, you will provide expert knowledge and skills on a wide range of issues from advocacy to assessment to case management. You will work collaboratively with other disciplines and committees to achieve excellence in patient care.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in nutrition and dietetics, with experience in health promotion, illness prevention, screening, treatment, and monitoring of people living with diabetes. You will also have expertise in supporting people living with other chronic health problems, community development, and advocacy.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who has a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition at a recognized university, a Dietetic internship, and current membership in the Nova Scotia Dietetic Association. You will also have annual continuing education to maintain your Nova Scotia license, and two years of clinical experience is preferred. You will be able to work well independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team environment, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Hours

This is a short assignment part-time position, with 45 hours bi-weekly. You will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Compensation and Incentives

The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $43.42, and may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
