About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian to join our Primary Health Care team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert knowledge and skills in a wide range of areas, including health promotion, illness prevention, screening, treatment, and monitoring of individuals living with diabetes and other chronic health conditions.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide holistic, client-centered care to our patients. You will be responsible for conducting health assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and providing education and support to patients and their families.

About You

We are seeking a candidate who possesses the following qualifications and skills:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition or a related field from a recognized university
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dietitian in a healthcare setting
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Certifications: Current registration with the Nova Scotia Dietetic Association and certification as a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) an asset

Hours

This is a part-time position, working 45 hours bi-weekly. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Compensation and Incentives

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary range of $32.94 - $43.42 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
