Brandt Group of Companies is seeking a Vice President of Public Relations & Community Engagement to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

The VP of Public Relations & Community Engagement will play a crucial role in aligning our communication strategies with our business objectives. This position requires a deep understanding of media dynamics and community engagement to effectively promote our corporate vision. The primary responsibilities include:

Media Relations

  1. Establishing and nurturing connections with local, regional, and national media.
  2. Fostering relationships with industry publications and their editorial teams.
  3. Collaborating with the Advertising, Brand, and Corporate Voice teams to create compelling content for dissemination.
  4. Utilizing Digital Engagement tools to enhance the organization’s visibility and sentiment across various platforms.
Government Relations
  1. Monitoring current and upcoming government policies that may impact the organization and its stakeholders.
  2. Formulating and executing strategies to strengthen ties with government representatives.
  3. Creating materials for both internal and external communication, including position statements and white papers.
  4. Partnering with industry advocates to promote shared interests.
  5. Engaging in lobbying efforts for significant government policy issues when necessary.
Sponsorship & Community Engagement
  1. Designing and overseeing a comprehensive sponsorship strategy to enhance the organization’s community presence.
  2. Strategically allocating sponsorship funds to fulfill corporate objectives through community initiatives.
  3. Leading high-impact sponsorships to ensure effective engagement.
  4. Assessing the value of community opportunities to optimize our investment outcomes.
Internal Communications
  1. Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges.
  2. Developing and implementing strategies for effective internal communication (emails, newsletters, town halls, etc.).
  3. Exploring and utilizing internal communication tools such as Microsoft Yammer or similar platforms.
Issues Management
  1. Taking the lead in developing strategies for managing potential issues as they arise.
Public Speaking
  1. Representing Brandt at various events, including tradeshows and press conferences.
