Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the Nova Inn Yellowknife. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, maintaining cost and quality standards, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all sources of revenue, focusing on securing new business while maintaining established cost and quality standards, maximizing profits, developing and retaining employees, and exceeding guest expectations.
  • Promote hotel policies and philosophies to employees and guests through direct and indirect interaction.
  • Develop and execute business plans, including sales plans, to drive revenue growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and statutory regulations and requirements, including health, liquor, gaming, environmental, and fire code regulations.
  • Represent the hotel in appropriate hotel, tourism, and business associations.
Requirements
  • Progressive management experience in hospitality, with a strong background in rooms division operations and sales.
  • Ability to mentor, coach, and develop the team, with a focus on career growth and development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to deliver consistently outstanding customer service.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and support the overall business plan.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong and effective relationships with all key corporate disciplines and the team.
