The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the Nova Inn Yellowknife. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for managing the hotel's budget, maintaining cost and quality standards, and maximizing profits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all sources of revenue, focusing on securing new business while maintaining established cost and quality standards
- Promote hotel policies and philosophies to employees and guests through direct and indirect interaction
- Develop and execute business plans, including sales plans
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and statutory regulations and requirements
- Represent the hotel in appropriate hotel, tourism, and business associations
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Progressive management experience in hospitality
- Knowledge of rooms division operations and sales
- A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and ability to celebrate success
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strategic thinking and ability to develop and support the overall business plan
- Ability to deliver consistently outstanding customer service
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with key corporate disciplines and the team
