Director, Technical Project Management

Our Insurance client is seeking a seasoned Director, EPMO (Enterprise Project Management Office) with a strong background in P&C insurance industry experience. This is a permanent full-time position located in Toronto, with a hybrid work arrangement.

The Director, Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) will be responsible for driving the successful execution and delivery of portfolios of programs and projects. This individual will lead a team of program and project managers serving functions across the company, with a focus on the Claims business, as well as supporting personal, commercial, product areas, corporate technology, and other enterprise enablement functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the successful execution and delivery of portfolios of programs and projects
  • Lead a team of program and project managers
  • Enable hybrid and agile program and project management practices and processes
  • Communicate and train stakeholders on program and project management practices
  • Accelerate organizational performance
Requirements:
  • 12+ years of experience in Project Management or Portfolio Management
  • 7+ years of management/leadership and people management experience
  • Experience in P&C insurance industry
  • Agile experience
  • Ability to relay complex technical concepts and solutions to business partners and stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Guidewire cloud platform (Policy Center, Billing Center & Claims Center)
  • Certifications such as PMP, Agile, Six Sigma, Certified Scrum Master, Kanban, Prince2 (SAFe, Prosci)
