Director, Technical Project Management

Our Insurance client is seeking a seasoned Director, EPMO (Enterprise Project Management Office) with a strong background in P&C insurance industry experience. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Toronto, with a hybrid work arrangement.

The Director, Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) will be responsible for driving the successful execution and delivery of portfolios of programs and projects. Reporting to the VP Enterprise Portfolio Delivery & Corporate Technology, this director will enable hybrid and agile program and project management practices and processes, focusing on lightweight process design and implementation, communication and training, and organizational acceleration.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of experience in Project Management or Portfolio Management, with 7+ years of management/leadership and people management experience. Experience in the P&C insurance industry, Agile methodologies, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business partners and stakeholders are essential.

Experience with Guidewire cloud platform (Policy Center, Billing Center & Claims Center) is considered an asset, as are certifications such as PMP, Agile, Six Sigma, Certified Scrum Master, Kanban, and Prince2.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead a team of program and project managers serving functions across the company, with a focus on the Claims business and supporting personal, commercial, product areas, corporate technology, and other enterprise enablement functions.
