Advanced Practice Nurse

About the Role:
Mackenzie Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care to diverse client populations and work collaboratively with other healthcare providers to achieve optimal health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive health services, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of chronic stable conditions, prevention of disease and injuries, health promotion and education, and rehabilitation.
- Assess and provide services to clients, families, and communities, utilizing advanced nursing assessment skills and sound knowledge of clinical therapeutics.
- Develop and implement education initiatives for healthcare providers and community members, demonstrating knowledge and experience of theories guiding adult learning principles and health promotion activities.
- Work collaboratively with clients and other healthcare providers to provide high-quality patient-centered care, embracing a philosophy of patient and family-centered care.
- Contribute to safe, quality care by demonstrating leadership in clinical excellence, effective patient/family counseling skills, and excellent organizational, critical appraisal, and analytical skills.
Requirements:
- Certificate of Registration (EC) in good standing from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Commitment to two-years of employment at a full-time work schedule offered by the employer.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with high-level initiative and self-direction.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, with computer literacy in a Windows environment utilizing Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook at a senior level.
