Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at D Spot Dessert Cafe. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our food service operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that all staff are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
  • Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
  • Manage Staff: Hire, train, and manage food service staff, ensuring that they are motivated and equipped to provide excellent customer service.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Administrative Tasks: Prepare budget and cost estimates, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a food service environment.
  • Work Environment: Noisy and wet/damp work site environment.
  • Work Setting: Food service establishment.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, tight deadlines, and standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, and a team player attitude.
