Warehouse Operations Lead

At The Chefs' Warehouse, we are dedicated to providing exceptional service and high-quality products to our culinary clients. As a key member of our team, the Warehouse Operations Lead will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse facility.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of warehouse associates, guiding them in tasks such as order fulfillment, inventory management, receiving shipments, and loading trucks. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Identify and address any operational bottlenecks or challenges faced by the team. Ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, and equipment training protocols.
  • Develop and coach warehouse associates, providing ongoing support and guidance to enhance their skills and performance. Emphasize a strong commitment to safety practices throughout all operations.
  • Analyze warehouse processes to identify areas for cost reduction and operational improvements. Implement strategies to minimize damages and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the warehouse facility, ensuring a clean, organized, and secure environment. Monitor equipment functionality and address any repairs promptly.
  • Uphold strict adherence to safety standards and company guidelines. Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the warehouse team.

Your Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in leading and motivating teams within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse best practices, including inventory control, shipping procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to teamwork.
