The Advancement and Alumni Relations department at Georgian College is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections with various stakeholders to promote support and engagement. This department comprises four integrated units: Engagement, Philanthropy, Partnerships, and Donor Relations and Operations. The Alumni Engagement Associate plays a crucial role in assisting with the coordination, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of alumni engagement initiatives and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Alumni Engagement Events and Initiatives
- Design and implement comprehensive alumni engagement strategies for events, communications, recognition, volunteer programs, and fundraising initiatives.
- Organize and oversee alumni events, ensuring successful execution and logistics.
- Recruit and manage alumni volunteers and ambassadors for various opportunities.
- Collaborate with multiple College departments to enhance alumni engagement activities.
- Facilitate a mentorship program connecting alumni with current students.
- Support the Alumni Association Executive Council in meetings, activities, and recruitment efforts.
- Highlight alumni achievements and success stories within the College and community.
- Assist in alumni fundraising efforts.

Database Management and Reporting
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of alumni data by updating records in the Raiser's Edge database.
- Conduct data entry, coding, and segmentation tasks.
- Generate reports and extract relevant data.
- Track alumni interactions and engagement metrics accurately.

Communication and Marketing
- Enhance awareness and participation in alumni activities through effective communication and marketing strategies.
- Develop alumni-related marketing materials and messaging.
- Contribute to content for the alumni website, newsletters, and other communication channels.
- Manage communication approvals and serve as the primary contact for alumni inquiries.

Affinity Partnerships and Perks Program
- Build and manage a successful Affinity Partnership and Perks Program for graduates.
- Coordinate partner agreements and develop new partnership opportunities.

Georgian Alumni Network (GAN) Platform Operations
- Update content on the GAN platform and implement strategies to increase user engagement.
- Ensure a high-quality experience for platform users and manage job board functionalities.

Administrative Support
- Handle incoming communications and maintain supplies of alumni materials.
- Participate in committees as required.

Qualifications:
- Completion of a two-year postsecondary diploma in a relevant field such as business, communications, or marketing.
- At least two years of experience in advancement, alumni relations, or a nonprofit environment.
- Familiarity with database management systems, particularly Raiser's Edge/NXT, is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and design software is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, including writing and presenting.
- Attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing priorities are essential.
