Project Manager, OPAIP Outreach Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the successful implementation of Georgian College's OPAIP funding outreach initiatives. The successful candidate will oversee community capacity building, implementation, tracking, and reporting on the outreach pillar of the project.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and sustain partnerships within the community and the College to support eligible students facing educational barriers.
- Proactively manage project scope and mitigate risks.
- Maintain regular communication with project champions and leads.
- Collaborate with local school boards, community EDI programs, College EDI team, student success services, mental health and well-being, employment services, Indigenous services, and current students from racialized and equity-seeking groups.
- Identify potential partners strategically.
- Conduct outreach to facilitate learning and connections.
- Follow up with partners and explore reciprocal opportunities.
- Collect partner feedback on OPAIP projects.
- Support workshop facilitation in collaboration with student facilitators.
- Oversee daily operations and logistics of the outreach pillar for the OPAIP project.
- Plan, organize, and execute outreach workshops and events with community partners.
- Handle logistics including space bookings, transportation, expenses, facilitation, and assessments.
- Coordinate logistics with team resources, ensuring alignment with timelines, project deliverables, and facilitator schedules.
- Collaborate with the Communications team for content development and event/project updates.
- Manage and coordinate the project team by setting clear expectations, defining roles, resolving conflicts, and fostering team commitment.
- Provide professional development to staff through regular coaching and proactive performance management.
- Lead staff in developing and implementing procedures/policies to support student success and well-being.
- Initiate systems and services to enhance student flourishing.
- Collect and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for OPAIP project deliverables.
- Develop data collection tools with Navigate360 and Institutional Research for timely and accurate reporting.
- Generate reports for SSLT, College Council, SLT, GCSA, and occasionally the Board of Governors on student success initiatives.
- Ensure accountability by tracking project deliverables, fiscal investments, and outcomes.
- Successfully completed a three-year postsecondary diploma/degree in sociology, social sciences, education, psychology, business or related field.
- Postsecondary project management education is an asset.
- A minimum of three years' experience in a similar role.
- Lived experience as a member of the Black community.
- Expertise in EDIB knowledge, epistemologies, methodologies, histories, traditions, and/or languages.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Direct experience with coaching and advising youth.
- Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
- Experience in strategic partnership development, data collection & reporting.
- Project management experience is an asset.
- Event management experience is considered an asset.
