Position Details
What You Will Do
- Conduct thorough investigations, including gathering statements, inspecting scenes, and canvassing neighborhoods, to identify potential claims and liabilities.
- Evaluate the extent of damage and potential losses, and assess the need for subrogation and other recovery efforts.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on denied claims and potential escalated situations, ensuring timely and concise communication.
- Assist with reporting and documentation of investigative services, as required.
- Present findings and recommendations to the Fraud Committee, ensuring clear and concise communication.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all conversations and file activity, ensuring confidentiality and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with other departments, including Underwriting, CAD, and Claims, to ensure seamless handling of files.
Who You Are
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of Property and Casualty claims.
- Experience with high-level claims handling and a proven track record of success.
- Completion of or willingness to obtain relevant licenses, certifications, and courses, such as Private Investigator License, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification, OSINT, Fire Investigation, and ICAR courses.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to make informed decisions and take actions to solve problems and achieve goals.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
