About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team at Phoenix Labs. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in helping us make data-driven decisions to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Data Analysis: Collect and analyze complex data to gain a deeper understanding of our audience and their behaviors and desires.
  2. Strategic Partnerships: Partner with feature leads to inform the strategic direction of our games and drive business growth.
  3. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial indicators and support revenue forecast exercises to ensure the financial health of our business.
  4. Player Insights: Help us understand the needs and wants of our players from all over the world and inform product development decisions.
  5. Experimentation: Design experiments and provide perspective to test teams' assumptions and inform their actions.
  6. Analytics Advocacy: Work with people across the company to grow the understanding and impact of analytics in a multi-disciplinary team.
  7. Communication: Share your results in dashboards and presentations to stakeholders across the organization.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Prior experience in a Data Analyst role directly supporting a video game product, ideally GaaS.
  2. Education: Minimum of five years of professional work experience analyzing large data sets and informing company strategy, or in management consulting.
  3. Skills: Strong communication skills and ability to build understanding with data consumers of all levels, proven experience writing SQL queries and using BI software.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Advanced Education: A graduate degree or meaningful work experience in consulting, consumer insights, product strategy or revenue strategy.
  2. Technical Skills: Experience writing queries with DBT, knowledge of Python, ML and ETL techniques, knowledge of AWS, especially Athena, S3, and Glue.
  3. Research Skills: Experience, knowledge, or willingness to learn qualitative user research (surveys, focus groups, ethnographic research).
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $115,000 — $190,000 CAD, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including basic medical coverage for employees and their dependents, dental and paramedical services, and a flexible vacation plan.
