Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our Sport Data and Analytics (DnA) team at Electronic Arts. As a Senior Analyst, you will play a key role in helping us scale up our analytics capabilities for the NHL and UFC Studios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Flow Design and Maintenance: Design, build, improve, and maintain data flow from different games into our analytics tools.
- Data Collaboration: Work closely with our Data developers to ensure that the data is available, modeled, and optimized for use.
- Business Requirements Translation: Collaborate with the analytics team to understand the data needed for various analysis and translate business requirements to technical specifications.
- Data Implementation and Troubleshooting: Coordinate with game studio, IT teams, Central EA teams, and 3rd parties to ensure data is implemented as per design and that data flows with minimal issues.
- BI and Data Solutions: Debug, monitor, and troubleshoot BI and Data solutions.
- Reporting and Visualization: Build reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Data Enrichment: Assist the analytics team in enriching the data by proactively suggesting modeling and aggregations.
- End-to-End Data Solutions: Deliver end-to-end data solutions or analytics projects.
Qualifications:
- Technical Skills:
- Work Experience: Developing using Python.
- Experience with Large Volumes of Streaming Data:
- SQL Expertise: Expertise with SQL, including stored procedures and UDFs.
- BI Tools Experience: Experience developing BI reports using BI tools (PowerBI / Looker / Tableau).
- Cloud Infrastructure Experience: Experience building cloud infrastructure – Azure, AWS, Google Cloud.
- Analytics Layer Experience: Experience working with Snowflake as an analytics layer.
- Task Management Tools Experience: Experience with Airflow.
- Customer Orientation: Familiarity with task management tools (Jira / Trello / Monday / Asana).
- Solutions-Focused Mindset: Customer-oriented – both to our players and to our stakeholders.
- Team-First Approach: Solutions-focused mindset.
Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.
EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
Base Salary Ranges:
- British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
$89,300 - $123,000 CAN Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, and retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
