Job Title: Application Engineer II SCBU

At Ansys, we are seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer II to join our team in the SCBU (Semiconductor Business Unit). As an Application Engineer II, you will play a critical role in supporting and deploying Ansys EDA products across top semiconductor companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop competence in one or more Ansys EDA products and work independently to support customers.
  • Provide customer support tasks, including answering questions on tool functionality and troubleshooting product defects.
  • Triage complaints about product defects and collaborate with R&D to identify root causes.
  • Write clear descriptions of product enhancement requests and work with cross-functional teams to implement changes.
  • Collaborate with software developers, architects, and product specialists to deploy Ansys EDA products for leading-edge semiconductor design customers.
Requirements:
  • BS in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5 years' experience, MS with 3 years' experience, or PhD with 1 year experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and good programming skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of VLSI design, Physical Design, and CMOS fundamentals.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in ASIC Physical design, Power-Integrity/Signal-Integrity/Reliability Closure, or Custom circuit design and simulation.
  • Passion to learn and deploy new technologies.
