- Organize product displays in accordance with established planograms.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure a steady supply of goods.
- Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
- Negotiate pricing, discounts, and terms of sale with suppliers.
- Coordinate the distribution of products to various retail outlets.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance the shopping experience.
- Assess the store's needs to determine the types and quantities of products to procure.
- Select and purchase merchandise for resale in the grocery store.
- Oversee and guide the work of junior buyers.
- Attend trade shows, product showcases, and design events to stay informed about industry trends.
This role includes supervision of a small team, typically consisting of 3 to 4 individuals.
Technical Skills- Proficiency in spreadsheet software, including MS Excel and MS Outlook.
This position contributes to positive environmental outcomes through responsible sourcing practices.
