Job Description

Position Overview

The University of Lethbridge is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Accounting Instructor III to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the Accounting program, as well as contributing to the development of curriculum and course materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and assess students in Accounting courses, including financial, managerial, and taxation accounting
  • Develop and update course content to ensure relevance and effectiveness
  • Participate in curriculum development and review to ensure alignment with industry standards
  • Contribute to the development of program policies and procedures
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain expertise in Accounting and teaching practices

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Canadian CPA designation or equivalent
  • Significant experience in Accounting, including teaching and industry experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Accounting or a related field
  • Experience in teaching and curriculum development
  • Knowledge of AACSB accreditation standards
