Position Overview

The University of Lethbridge invites applications for a full-time continuing instructor position at the Instructor III rank in the Accounting area. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and assessing courses, updating course content, and participating in School and Accounting Area governance. The position is available on our Calgary or Lethbridge campus, with preference given to those with experience teaching or background in analytics or technology in an accounting context.

Responsibilities

Instruction and assessment of courses in accounting, including audit, managerial, and financial accounting. Updating course content to ensure relevance and accuracy. Participating in School and Accounting Area governance, including committee work and professional development activities. Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum. Providing excellent teaching and learning experiences for students. Engaging in ongoing professional development to maintain expertise in accounting and teaching.

Requirements

An undergraduate degree and a Canadian CPA designation are required. A graduate degree is preferred, or equivalent experience. Significant accounting work experience and a commitment to teaching excellence are essential. The successful candidate will be able to maintain their professional competence and continue with ongoing accounting activities in a work or volunteer context.
