Position Overview:

As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facility and its occupants. Your duties will include:

  • Transporting and managing equipment for site operations
  • Compiling and submitting daily activity reports
  • Escorting patients to their designated hospital rooms
  • Delivering exceptional customer service to all package recipients
  • Conducting proactive and reactive security patrols
  • Responding effectively to various incidents
  • Documenting incidents through comprehensive report writing
  • Investigating routine security matters
  • Screening patients and visitors while controlling contraband
  • Overseeing the Forensic Monitoring Station
  • Performing additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Current First Aid & CPR - Level C Certification from an approved provider
  • Ability to maintain a clean-shaven appearance for N95 Mask Fit Testing
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum double vaccination required)
  • Documentation of immunization records including MMR, Varicella, and TB Skin Tests
  • Capacity to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check during onboarding
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License (G)
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
  • Commitment to the position for a minimum of 6 months
  • At least 6 months of customer service experience is essential
  • A minimum of 1 year of security experience is required
  • Experience in healthcare or healthcare security is advantageous
  • Ability to provide certifications in Stay Safe; training options available for those lacking certifications
